IT'S always difficult to sort the distinctive from the dross when flicking through the Fringe festival programme, but the simple but inimitable premise of a dance show by identical twins immediately stands out.
And deservedly so.
Junk Ensemble -- Megan and Jessica Kennedy -- have produced a sassy, light-hearted work, 'The Rain Party'. There's an agreeably daft intro, involving wellies and hot chocolate for the audience, and then a short walk through Temple Bar to bind the audience in adventurous solidarity. Above, residents peer out their windows and, on the street outside, people peer in through the gate.
This is a crucial factor in the success of the Fringe Festival: the accidental audiences, those whose eye gets caught by work being performed outside the safety of the theatre.
